Avorion dedicated hosting for a small friend group (2026)

Avorion is a voxel space sandbox — fighters to capital ships, trade routes, and a procedural galaxy that stays heavy as the crew explores more sectors. A small friend faction wants one always-on galaxy so the save isn’t stuck on someone’s PC. Shockbyte, Nodecraft, GameTeam and Bisect all sell it. Apex and PebbleHost page URLs we tried returned 404 (or were not listed on their games catalogs). Prices below were read from each host’s own Avorion page. Confirm availability and the bill at checkout.

RAM, slots, sectors and mods

  • Friend-group fit: Shockbyte’s entry Naonite plan is labeled 6 players / 4 GB — the natural small-faction band under ~$20. Xanion / Avorion (12 / 18 players) are community-sized. Nodecraft does not cap slots and labels Budget Wake & Play “Not recommended for this game”. A small always-on crew usually sits on Premium 6–8 GB, not the lightest Wake & Play tier. GameTeam’s FAQ says about 10–30 players, with fleet sizes and active sector count driving load more than raw headcount.
  • RAM honesty (host claims only — sectors add up): GameTeam’s FAQ says 4–8 GB, scaling with how much of the galaxy players have visited — each explored sector is stored and simulated. Shockbyte starts at 4 GB on Naonite. Treat 4 GB as a light entry for a tight friend group near the rim; budget toward 6–8 GB once fleets, factories and many sectors stay active.
  • Mods (host claims only): Shockbyte claims Mod Support (page feature list; FAQ also mentions Steam Workshop scripts and custom ship designs). Bisect claims Modding Support. GameTeam’s FAQ says yes via Steam Workshop and a server-side mods folder (server and client lists must agree). Nodecraft’s Avorion knowledgebase covers installing Workshop mods on their servers. Apex / PebbleHost were not confirmed. See Night 6.

Comparison: Avorion plans

Price sources: every price comes from the host’s own Avorion page (fetched 24 Oct 2026, NZDT). No third-party or search-summary prices are used. Recurring monthly figures are preferred over first-month sale teasers (sales disclosed where shown). TBD means the host page showed no price, or the page URLs we tried returned 404. Sources (host-owned): shockbyte.com, nodecraft.com, gameteam.io, bisecthosting.com (features; price rate not displayed). Apex / PebbleHost: no host-owned Avorion page found (404 / not listed). No host is crowned “#1”. Avorion RAM climbs as explored sectors stay simulated — confirm RAM at checkout.

Oceania note

Avorion’s build-and-explore loop tolerates mid ping better than a competitive shooter, but fleet combat, docking and sector travel still feel late on a long US route. AU/NZ groups should look at Nodecraft (Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland listed on the page), or check at checkout for an AU / APAC node on Shockbyte, GameTeam’s global map, or Bisect stock (21 locations; out-of-stock notice on the page we read). See the Oceania ping guide.

Budget note and shortlist (not rankings)

  • Labeled friend-faction plan under ~$20: Shockbyte Naonite, $11.49/mo (4 GB / 6 players). Step up to Xanion ($16.99) or Avorion ($21.99) if fleets and sectors grow.
  • More RAM near AU/NZ (host warning heeded): Nodecraft Premium 6 GB ($29.98) or 8 GB ($39.98) rather than Budget Wake & Play.
  • Pay-by-the-GB while the galaxy grows (host claim): GameTeam Budget from $0.49/GB, Premium from $0.74/GB — confirm plan total, weekly term and RAM (FAQ 4–8 GB) at checkout; limited-time 10% offer disclosed on the page we read.
  • If Bisect price/stock is hidden: use Shockbyte, Nodecraft or GameTeam first; home CTA for Apex or PebbleHost if you want to ask support whether Avorion is coming.
  • Similar nights: Space Engineers (Night 34), Empyrion (Night 39), Factorio (Night 17), No Man’s Sky (Night 21). Also budget under ~$20 and Oceania ping.
