RedM / RDR2 roleplay hosting for a friends squad (2026)

This page is for a private RedM (Cfx.re) frontier — Red Dead Redemption 2 roleplay, posse nights, or a small custom resource stack for your Discord — not Rockstar RDO matchmaking and not a Source-engine scrim box. It is not the same product as Night 71 FiveM / GTA V RP (same Cfx.re family, different game binary, frameworks and host SKUs), Night 25 Garry’s Mod, Night 27 Counter-Strike 2, or Night 42 Squad. Among our six hosts, Shockbyte, Nodecraft and GameTeam publish live RedM / RDR2 RedM product pages with host-owned plan totals today; Apex Hosting, BisectHosting and PebbleHost RedM product / marketing URLs returned 404 (RedM absent from the catalogs we read; Bisect /store/redm resolved to a generic cart with no RedM plan cards). Slots, artifact, resource and DDoS claims below come only from each host’s own copy.

Slots, RAM and RP honesty

  • Friends squad ≠ public town: a Discord of 8–24 concurrent players is a different bill from a 64-slot public RedM list. Slot marketing is a ceiling, not a promise that heavy VORP/RedEM + map packs will run smooth on the cheapest card.
  • RAM floor (host claims + FAQ only): GameTeam’s RedM FAQ says 4–8 GB, rising with resource list and database size, and markets 32–64 players for most roleplay communities. Shockbyte’s printed cards open at 2 GB / 12 players (Valentine) and top out at 6 GB (Saint Denis). Nodecraft cards 2 / 3 / 6 GB Premium — treat 2 GB as a light private test, not a full town. Do not reuse FiveM GTA city RAM tables or Minecraft modpack floors as a RedM quote.
  • RedM vs FiveM (brief): same Cfx.re lineage (txAdmin, resources folder, server.cfg), different game (RDR2 vs GTA V) and usually different host product pages / plan names. Buy the RedM SKU — do not assume a FiveM plan swaps cleanly. See Night 71 for the GTA side.
  • Resources / artifacts: frameworks, scripts and custom content live in the resources folder and server.cfg (GameTeam FAQ spells this out like FiveM). Host pages that claim txAdmin or AI install helpers still leave artifact updates and broken-resource debugging on you — only trust what each host prints.

txAdmin, resources, DDoS — host claims only

  • Shockbyte: RedM page claims txAdmin Integration, DDoS protection, easy configuration, automatic backups, full file access, mod support, global locations. OneSync / artifact auto-update not spelled out as named RedM features on the landing we read (TBD in panel/docs). FAQ cross-links FiveM hosting.
  • Nodecraft: RedM page claims txAdmin integration, FiveM-style Resources Installer / one-click resources path, DDoS shield, automated tasks, SFTP/file manager. OneSync not called out on the RedM landing excerpt we captured (TBD in panel/docs). Artifact update automation TBD on landing.
  • GameTeam: RDR2 RedM page markets AI copilot for mods/plugins, crashes, settings and backups; FAQ names resources folder and server.cfg (works like FiveM). Explicit txAdmin / OneSync product claims were not printed on the landing we read (TBD — confirm in panel).
  • Apex / Bisect / PebbleHost: no sellable RedM landing with plan cards found (URLs 404 or generic cart; RedM absent from catalogs we read) — txAdmin / artifact claims TBD.

A runaway resource list will tank a friends frontier on 4–6 GB the same way a bad ESX stack tanks FiveM. Add frameworks deliberately, measure FPS and DB load, then grow RAM.

Comparison: RedM / RDR2 RP plans

Price sources: every figure below comes from the host’s own RedM / RDR2 RedM product / pricing page (checked 24 Oct 2026, NZDT). Recurring monthly preferred; first-month sales disclosed where shown. TBD / 404 when the host page had no clear plan total or the URL failed. Confirm at checkout — stock, Cfx.re keys and location change.

Oceania / AU–NZ–SG latency wedge

  • Nodecraft: Sydney / Melbourne / Auckland / Singapore referenced on the RedM hosting story — best published Oceania/SEA angle; confirm RedM capacity and txAdmin in your panel.
  • Shockbyte: Melbourne-based + RedM product page with global locations — still pick the node on order and ping-test before a public whitelist opens.
  • GameTeam: global map marketed; AU node for RedM not named on the page excerpt — TBD until you see it at order.
  • Apex / Bisect / PebbleHost: Oceania for RedM not evidenced (no product page / plan cards) — TBD.

Horse sync, gunfights and peeker windows punish 150 ms+ US routes the same way FiveM vehicle sync does. Buy monthly through the first resource-heavy session, measure everyone’s ping, then commit. See the Oceania ping guide.

Practical shortlist (not rankings)

  • Want printed RedM cards + txAdmin: Shockbyte Rhodes ($15.99 / 4 GB / 24p) — Saint Denis ($29.99 / 6 GB) when the resource list grows.
  • AU/NZ ping first, accept higher recurring: Nodecraft Premium 3 GB ($14.98) or 6 GB ($29.98) in Sydney/Melbourne/Auckland — verify txAdmin in panel.
  • Lowest host-owned $/GB: GameTeam Budget $0.49/GB — size to the FAQ’s 4–8 GB floor; confirm location before an Oceania squad pays.
  • Budget under ~$20: Shockbyte Valentine / Rhodes and Nodecraft Premium 2–3 GB fit the ~$20 budget on recurring list prices; Saint Denis and Nodecraft 6 GB do not.
  • Apex / Bisect / PebbleHost: wait for a real RedM landing — currently 404 / TBD.
  • Different jobs: FiveM / GTA V RP (Night 71), Garry’s Mod (Night 25), CS2 (Night 27), Squad (Night 42).
