Astroneer dedicated hosting for a small friend group (2026)
Astroneer is a cheerful co-op game about exploring planets and building bases. A dedicated server keeps the crew’s solar system running when the host’s PC is off. Host RAM figures vary a lot (2 GB on Shockbyte, 4 GB minimum on Nodecraft). Prices below come from the hosts’ own Astroneer pages.
RAM and slots
- Shockbyte: one plan, Astronium, is 2 GB for 8 players.
- Nodecraft: starts at 4 GB (“Best for 1–5 Players”), with 6 and 8 GB tiers.
- Our read: small bases run on the entry tiers. Big automated bases with lots of storage and vehicles across several planets use more over time, so leave room to upgrade. This is a rule of thumb, not a host figure.
- Mods: no host page we read highlights Astroneer mods. Bisect lists RCON integration. See Night 6 for general mod tooling.

Oceania note
Astroneer’s physics (vehicles, tethers, terrain deformation) rubber-bands on long routes. AU/NZ crews: Nodecraft (Sydney and Melbourne), and Shockbyte or Bisect if they have an AU node in stock at checkout. See the Oceania ping guide.
