Risk of Rain 2 hosting — dedicated for a friends squad (2026)
This page is for a Risk of Rain 2 dedicated server so a Discord squad can loop stages together without relying on someone’s home PC as the lobby host. It is not the same job as Night 90 Valheim modded (also BepInEx / Thunderstore, different game), Night 81 V Rising modded, or Night 48 Lethal Company. Don't Starve Together already shipped as Night 31; Sons of the Forest / Garry's Mod / The Forest / Raft / Barotrauma / Starbound slugs were taken — Risk of Rain 2 is the next unused widely-hosted alternate (checked 24 Oct 2026, NZDT). Among our six hosts: Shockbyte, BisectHosting, and GameTeam sell Risk of Rain 2 (product URLs returned 200 on full GET — curl HEAD 403 is not absence). Apex Hosting, Nodecraft, and PebbleHost RoR2 paths we tried returned 404 / no SKU — not invented TBD pricing. Slot / RAM / mod claims below come only from each host’s own RoR2 product copy, KB, or FAQ.

- Shockbyte printed tier: Rainstorm 4 players / 2 GB at the list monthly price below. A “Custom Plan” control is also on the page — other GB / player cards were not clearly printed in the static listing we read, so we do not invent them. Small Discord nights often fit Rainstorm; denser lobbies or heavy BepInEx stacks may need the custom slider — confirm in the panel.
- GameTeam FAQ: 2–4 GB RAM. Player count 4 by default, and higher with mods that raise the cap. “Unlimited Player Slots” marketing is a ceiling, not a promise that 16+ survivors stay smooth on 2 GB.
- BisectHosting: BisectOne ~/GB ladder — exact RoR2 GB floor TBD at checkout; dial RAM for your survivor/mod count rather than copying Minecraft tables.
- Client + server + mods: vanilla runs need matching game builds. Modded runs need matching BepInEx / Thunderstore packages on server and every client (GameTeam FAQ says so plainly; Shockbyte publishes a BepInEx install KB). Backup before wipe night / game updates — RoR2 patches can break mod stacks for a few days.
