BeamMP friend-server hosting — a private BeamNG lobby for your crew
You want a BeamNG.drive multiplayer (BeamMP) server your mates can join any time, with the same maps and car mods, without someone port-forwarding at home. This page is not the same as the BeamMP overview. It covers the small-group setup.
The job: 4–8 friends, same mods, low ping
- Players: set MaxPlayers in ServerConfig.toml; a friend crew rarely needs more than 8.
- Mods: server-side mods in Resources/Client sync to joining players automatically, so keep the pack lean because big zips mean slow joins.
- Ping: vehicle sync shows lag as rubber-banding, so node location matters.
